A charming vintage porcelain and polished brass covered sugar bowl featuring a blue-and-white Chinoiserie landscape motif with pagodas, bridges, and stylized foliage in the tradition of classic Willow ware decoration.
The bowl retains its original fitted brass flip-top lid with integrated spoon notch and spherical finial pull, allowing the lid to remain partially closed while accommodating a sugar spoon during service. The underside is stamped:
“Utilities Specialties Co. Inc., Jersey City, N.J.”
Freshly professionally polished, the brass presents with a rich warm glow that beautifully contrasts the cool cobalt transfer decoration of the porcelain body.
Elegant in scale and highly functional, the piece blends Hollywood Regency glamour with traditional Chinoiserie influence, making it ideal for coffee service, tea presentation, or display within a curated bar or dining setting.
