Classic Mid Century Danish Modern style writing desk made by Bassett, designed by Leo Jiranek, as part of the Artisan series, circa 1950/60's. Very solid piece of furniture with a walnut veneer on top of a poplar body. There is some wearing of the lacquer from use and a small area of water damage on the top. This can all be easily fixed with a quick sand and new coat of toner/lacquer.

This is a great piece for someone learning refinishing or restoration, or for someone who is interested in flipping. Great price for minimal work. I do not have the time or resources to refinish this myself as I lost my studio space recently and need to liquidate this ASAP.
