This print depicts, as the title suggests, French doors which look out onto a yard with green grass and a blue sky. Held in a silver tone metal frame against a cream mat, this piece is signed, titled, and marked “A.P.” for artist’s proof to the lower edge.

Adeine de La Noe was born in France in 1914, and attended the Beaux Arts Lille and the Grande Chaumière in Paris. By 1956, she relocated to the United States, to study at the Art Students League of New York. In 1961, she moved to Taos for a residency and remained there for the remainder of her life. She drew inspiration from the Abstract Expressionist movement in New York, as well as from nature. See less
