This one-off solid pine writing desk was made in France in the 1960s and originates from the home of an architect in Hirson, Picardy. The desk features a boomerang-shaped top with a soft, curved profile, referencing the forme libre approach associated with Charlotte Perriand.
The curved solid wood legs show the organic construction and material-driven design language seen in the work of Pierre Chapo. Crafted entirely from solid pine, the natural wood grain remains visible throughout.Designed as a functional writing or drawing desk, this piece reflects French mid-century modern design, combining architectural clarity with artisanal woodworking traditions.
