A French Rococo Style Bombay side stand, dating to the 20th Century. The piece features a hand-painted wood construction with gilded accents, embodying the ornate aesthetic of the Louis XIV period. Its characteristic bombe shape is complemented by elegant cabriole legs, all finished in a cream-colored ground. The stand is adorned with intricate hand-painted floral motifs in a pastel palette, with gilt scrolling details framing the central panels and highlighting the carved elements. The curvilinear form is typical of the Rococo movement, emphasizing asymmetry and naturalistic ornamentation. It includes a single functional drawer positioned above a cabinet door, both featuring complementary hand-painted decoration. The cabinet door is fitted with a distinctive figural cherub pull, crafted from metal with an aged patina.
