Antique shell shaped asparagus plate. Produced in the late 19th century in Stoke-on-Trent England by William Alsager Adderley and Company for the French market. The PAX pattern featured birds and flowers. The center asparagus spears were hand painted. The makers mark for WAA & CO is stamped on the underside along with the embedded word "Ivory".
The plate measures about 8 1/2 x 9 inches.
