An antique Chinese cloisonné tea caddy, dating to approximately 1920, showcases traditional craftsmanship. This lidded consister is meticulously crafted with vibrant polychrome enamels over a metal base, featuring a rich black ground adorned with an intricate array of blooming garden floral motifs, including peonies, chrysanthemums, and lotus flowers. The body and lid are further embellished with decorative scalloped borders in striking blue and red hues. A brass foo dog finial crowns the lid. This piece represents a fine example of early 20th-century Chinese decorative arts.
