This French Louis XV style carved walnut and cane vanity bench holds much appeal with the carved floral decoration in … Read more This French Louis XV style carved walnut and cane vanity bench holds much appeal with the carved floral decoration in the wood, the heart shaped details in the cloth and the cane style of bottom seating used in this bench is quite intriging. It has cabriole (scroll legs). It was originally a window bench also known as a banquette de fenetre. The height is 31" and the width is 14" and the length is 29". The original caning is in excelent condition and I believe it was made between 1890's-1920's when the height of window benches were being made. I found this piece from an estate sale and they said this piece had been handed down through generations. See less
