The shaped tabletop features a delicate floral scene with thistle plants, their slender stems and spiked blossoms beautifully rendered in contrasting wood veneers. The piece is signed “Gallé” in inlaid wood.

The walnut base has a soft, organic form, with gracefully curved legs and a shaped lower tier that echoes the top. Its flowing lines give the table a light and refined presence.
The top shows an age-related crack line due to natural wood drying, along with some older inlaid repairs. These are consistent with the piece’s age and do not detract from its overall character.
