Glazed terracotta kougelhopf mold, an early 20th-century Alsatian ceramic product. Used extensively in a bakery or in a cook's wood-burning stove, it is glazed and cracked on the inside, while the exterior is blackened. A traditional decorative object, it would also be happy to be put back into service—we'll even provide the recipe!
The mold is antique and made of terracotta. The interior glaze is cracked in places. Some areas of glaze are missing around the outer rim, and significant signs of wear and firing are visible in the photos.
27 cm in diameter, 12 cm high.
