A traditional 18th-century Italian desk commode from the Piemonte region, finely crafted from solid walnut and embellished with elegant inlaid scrollwork. This beautifully proportioned bureau combines the function of a writing desk with the storage capacity of a commode, making it both practical and architecturally refined. Baroque, Italian Louis XV style.

The slant-front drop-leaf writing surface opens to reveal a fitted interior with multiple compartments and five small drawers, ideal for organizing documents and personal items. The façade features a graceful wavy front, three deep storage drawers, and original period-style hardware. Beneath, the piece stands on sturdy, shaped feet typical of northern Italian cabinet making of the era.
