They … Read more This is a set of 3 VERY RARE French lithographs that feature botanical studies for tapestry and textile designs. They date to the reigns of Louis XIV and Louis XVI. They came from a portfolio of designs from c1900. We purchased a small grouping of these recently in France. (Ask us about others from this collection.) They are the works of Pierre Mignard, a painter from the reign of Louis XIV who worked with royalty, religious and mythical subjects and Philippe de Lassale who is known for his tapestries and silk industrial techniques. These designs feature floral wreaths and garlands, birds, and grapes. They are elaborate and detailed. Zoom in to see intricacies. These lithographs are in excellent condition and contain documentation and size references. They are in excellent antique condition consistent with age and history. They measure 12.5 x 17 inches in size, relatively large for design plate lithographs. You are purchasing a set of 3 antique design lithographs. See less
