The piece is richly decorated with mirrored cranes or phoenix-like birds amid dense scrolling foliate ornamentation, all rendered in luminous iridescent shell that shifts beautifully between electric blue, sea green, lavender, and silver tones depending on the light.

The form itself is unusually architectural and restrained, creating a sophisticated tension between strict geometry and lavish surface decoration. The overall effect recalls elements of Korean lacquer tradition, Moorish ornament, and postmodern luxury design simultaneously.
