Part of once commissioned set featuring a family crest
Beautiful design, intricate square shape with rounded and waved corners, wide mulberry pink border, lavishly embellished with hand painted golden floral motifs
Gadrooned edge with gilt highlights
The skillfully painted coat of arms in the center with demi-lion rampant crest holding a mullet could be attributed as the crest and the divided arms of the family Welman of Poundsford park, Somerset, near Taunton, England
At the underside there are puce underglaze stamps "Spode Felspar Porcelain"
