The underside is also signed with the artist initials “RLD.”

The hinged box features an oval form with hand-painted fruit panels including grapes, pears, apples, and bananas, separated by gold gilt dividers.
A Pineapple finial forms the lid handle.
The piece is finished with ornate Brass bands along the top and bottom edges and closes securely with a detailed Brass clasp formed as two cherries on a stem with leaves.

VERY VERY GOOD vintage pre-loved condition - no chips or cracks
The glaze is glossy and clean, the ornate Brass band is secure, the underside markings remain clear and legible.
