Offered is a vintage Walnut wood framed mirror from renowned North Carolina based Lenoir Mirror Company.
This piece is stamped "Dixie A 1600 202 Mirror Plate by Lenoir", which possibly means it was made for the Dixie Furniture Company. It currently has the hardware attached to hang vertically, but could be changed to hang horizontally.
It measures: 26" W x 38" H x 1.5" D
and the exposed mirror measures: 23" W x 35" H
Lenoir mirrors are often made of solid Walnut or Mahogany wood frames and are, known for being heavy and well-made. The silver plating on a Lenoir mirror is typically protected by a coating of specialized paint on the back to prevent damage and oxidation.
