Offered for sale is a rare set of four abstract plates with dark brick red detailing on a bone white field. The plates are postmodern in style and design, and they have a gold edging. Each is signed and dated by the artist on the underside.
There appears to be some light crazing on 2 of the plates. They have had hangers added to display.Sold only as a set of four.

Patrick Loughran (1948-) is an American ceramic artist known for his innovative, sculptural approach to the medium. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Columbia University in 1970, followed by a Master of Arts in sculpture and crafts from Teachers College in 1975.

Loughran taught ceramics at institutions across the United States, including in New York, Chicago, and New Mexico, before moving to Paris in 1991. Since then, he has become a leading figure in the French ceramics community. His work is featured in several prestigious museum collections and is held by private collectors as well.
