It is made of cast iron and has been professionally restored in France including all new mounting hardware and its original strike plate. It is very large and has wonderful details with a hound's head as the knocker and an ornate rosette at the pivot point. This knocker is ready to be painted and mounted on your door. The dimensions below are for the knocker as shown in the first photo, dimensions mounted on a door will vary slightly. It was found near Beaune in Burgundy. See less
