A large scale ceramic glazed body in a deep violet navy blue rests on a solid brass circular base. The oblong shaped ceramic portion features a wavy raised accent with an overall look influenced by Ettore Sottsass, the Italian founder of Memphis Style in the 1980's.
The color scheme of this piece not only lends itself to the current Memphis style revival,but is also applicable to other modern interiors as well as nautical themes.

Very little oxidation to the brass, which is not coated, so it can be polished periodically to renew the finish if desired. Fully functional, but I recommend professional rewiring of any vintage lamp.
