Created from Chinese export porcelain bok choy/cabbage leaf vases and later professionally mounted as lamps by Richard Ray Custom Design of Los Angeles, the pair beautifully blends chinoiserie elegance with glamorous Hollywood Regency style.

What I especially love about these lamps is the incredible texture and movement throughout the porcelain bodies. The leafy surfaces are not simply painted — the details can actually be felt, giving the lamps a wonderfully dimensional, organic quality. The softly scalloped leaf edges at the top add another beautiful sculptural detail and make the silhouettes feel especially elegant.
