Petite but robust in style , a bold Console of the Rococo Louis XV era . The recurrent themes of 18th century France are re-established here with scrolling leafage in the Rococo manner with a gilt finish. The beautifully restored top is faux marble in high detail. Please note the usual shrinkages end gilt retouches over the the years, reflecting its age and use. Decorating wise, the unusually narrow width, 12 inches allows you to put this to use in various locations that require some extra space, especially hallways and baths.
On the console: A pair of bronze Louis XV candlesticks in fine form. Also, a well patented bronze of children playing. Set on a marble base.
