It is an original English 19th century made table in a desired Regency style. It is made with precision with symmetry in mind, done in most beautiful rich vivid color Rosewood, inlaid with brass bands around the edges. Table stands on a double column single pedestal base, with beautiful brass pin-stripe inlay. Curved legs end in castor wheels. Table features two working drawers in the front, each with it's original brass / bronze knob type handle in the center. It can be used as a sofa table, desk, or breakfast / dinning table, when the pair of "drop leaf" ends extend the table for the desired purpose. If used as a breakfast / dining table it could easily sit 4 persons. Absolutely stunning, purchased in New York City in 1990's for well over $3,000. It is in good condition, expected age / use wear - please see photos. Size is great for house or the apartment, when closed it is 36" wide, 25.5" across, and 28" in height, while it is 63" wide overall when fully opened with leaves up, and the knee height is 23.5" if used as desk. This beauty queen will be a great quality addition to any serious antique or mid-century setting! See less
