This rectangular porcelain box, likely a brush washer or small caddy, features a crisp white glaze decorated with the "Hundred Antiques" (Boyu) motif in the vibrant Famille Rose palette. The primary faces are adorned with a central ding-style incense burner holding a lush, blooming pink peony, which symbolizes wealth and honor. The vessel itself is intricately detailed with a turquoise ground, green lattice patterns, and a stylized Shou (longevity) character at its center.
The smaller side panels and the top surface continue this scholarly theme, featuring miniature depictions of ancient bronzes and floral arrangements. The enamels are applied with a textured, slightly raised quality, particularly noticeable in the black outlines and the graduated pinks of the peony petals. The piece is finished with a short, cylindrical neck and a flat, unglazed base, characteristic of 20th-century Chinese decorative arts intended for a scholar's desk or mantle
