An antique Sevres attr. figural sweetmeat dish, crafted from a combination of bisque and glazed porcelain, dating to approximately 1880. This piece depicts a rococo-attired gentleman reclining, holding a shell-form dish. The figure is meticulously detailed with hand-painted floral motifs on his pink coat, striped breeches, and yellow stockings, complemented by a blue bow in his hair. The shell dish features delicate hand-painted birds and floral sprays, all resting upon an ornate pink and green scrollwork base. The underside of the base bears a partially legible impressed mark. This piece exemplifies the refined artistry and decorative appeal of late 19th-century French porcelain, serving as both a functional dish and a captivating sculptural display.
