This exquisite piece is a prime example of Victorian Art Glass from the renowned Stourbridge district of England. The vase features a translucent "Nile Green" or light aquamarine body with a "crimped" or "pinched" rim. The standout features are the applied amber-colored trailing rigaree "feet" that extend up the neck and the multi-colored "Matsu-no-ke" style applied rose. The strong green glow under 365nm UV light confirms the presence of manganese in the glass, while the orange "rigaree feet" glow nicely with 395 nm as well; a hallmark of high-quality Victorian decorative glass.
