While he … Read more Offered is a rare find large hand blown organic shaped centerpiece bowl by renowned Italian Artisan, Renato Anatrà. While he is mostly known for his glass sculptures and figurines, his work with Oggetti and early days after founding Vetri Artistici Art 80 included these minimalist organic shapes with dramatic color inclusions. This piece is larger and heavier
than pictures can convey - see detailed perspectives - and deserves to be displayed where it catches light and shares the drama of its size.

Measures 15.5" at its longest, 15" wide, 3" tall at the curved bend end, and 2" high on the opposite side. Weighs approximately 12 lbs.

Anatrà (1943-2020). Co-founder of Vetri Artistici Art 80 with Andrea Tagliapietra, Renato Anatrà was one of Murano's most prolific glass sculptors until retiring in the early 2000s. His artworks, primarily consisting of sculptures made from clear glass, stand as incredible masterpieces designed for public exhibition. Anatrà was a pivotal figure in contemporary Murano glass sculpture. His creations have been displayed in museums globally, such as the “Guitar in polychrome glass” crafted in Murano in 1960, which was exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He died in 2020, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire and captivate art enthusiasts and collectors alike. See less
