From our personal collection, this set of English Monogrammed Silver Plate Forks and Knives was curated in London about 15 years ago. It features 46 Forks and 24 Knives. We loved the antique flare and used these when we entertained with a buffet service. Two of our favorite characteristics are they are not hollow are but solid handles. And we liked the engraved HM ELSNER on the underside of the forks. We researched this and found there was a silversmith that has a markers mark of HM and a Elsner Silversmith Company, both in England. So it’s possible these were a collaboration but more likely this is the name of the original owner.
