Meunier (1888-1979) was a French illustrator whose career flourished in France in the 1920’s and 1930’s. She is best known for her nude and semi-nude female drawings. She developed “pin-up” style boudoir illustrations and was well received as a female artist during a time when male artists dominated this genre of art. Her works are increasingly more collectible as they are limited and more difficult to find. Such lithographs are now RARE to find. Meunier's illustrations are soft and gentle. At the same time they are subtle, playful, flirtatious and fun. They showcases feminia beauty. This lithograph features "red pajamas". And...of course the slippers add the final touch. The print is clean and pristine and signed by Meunier. 8.25 x 11.75 inches in size. Comes matted in a neutral tone 16 x 20 custom mat ready for a standard size frame.
