An American grain painted chest of drawers with distinctive hand painted grains done in the late 19th century. A pretty scrolling front rail.

In the 19th century furniture makers sometimes hand painted grains onto pieces of furniture to give a piece more character.

Three dovetailed drawers. Original drawer pulls/knons.

In original as found condition. Some humble character and patina that is typical with pieces of this age. See photos. The top right has a long ago rubbed off corner.
