Charles X mahogany weekly chest. Black marble top, seven drawers, the first in the molded band beneath the top, and the third and fourth drawers functioning as drop-leaf doors, concealing a green cloth storage compartment on the inside. The chest features five drawers and an open maple compartment. Uprights with twisted half-columns, turned feet, oak interior, and brass flush-fittings. France, mid-19th century. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
