The frames are made of 304L stainless steel, the 1/2" solid round bar frame is hand bent, shaped, and welded. The seat and back of the Portola chair are made from hand cut and shaped stainless steel sheet metal, the distinctive rolled edges of the seat and back are meticulously hand hammered and formed into their final shape. This piece has two layers of colored powder coating and an additional application of matte finish clear powder coat. With regular use the matte clear coat will develop a patina, over time developing variations between matte, semi-gloss, and gloss surfaces. See less
