Vintage statement brooch featuring an openwork floral design centered by an oval green cabochon. Intricate filigree metalwork forms layered scalloped petals, creating depth and dimension while highlighting the mottled green and white coloration of the central stone.
Produced during the 1960s Victorian Revival movement, the brooch reflects the ornate decorative styling popular throughout mid-century costume jewelry. The antiqued silver tone finish and lace-like metalwork share characteristics with pieces produced by makers such as Florenza, Art, and Whiting & Davis during the period. A rolling safety catch secures the pin for wear.
