The composition is surrounded by scrolling acanthus leaves and foliate motifs, reflecting the strong Renaissance influence that defined mid-19th century French decorative arts. The gilt-highlighted crest with lion emblem adds depth and contrast, giving the piece a stately and architectural presence.
Constructed from solid oak, the bench displays a warm, time-softened patina across the surface.
