This exquisite rounded Powder Compact / Mirror is made out of silver-tone metal. This compact was made in the U.S.A. by Richard Hudnut, a leading manufacturer of American cosmetics at the time. The side of the piece bears the engraving " Richard Hudnut / New York / Paris", and the inside mark just under the mirror reads "PAT-7-1-24", referring to a design patent of July 1, 1924. The exterior top and bottom are ornately engraved with a gorgeous art deco pattern, and the interior border around the mirror has this design as well. The compact comes with a pink powder puff. This lovely antique compact that would look magnificent in a collection of vintage vanity pieces or cosmetics, or even as a useful accessory kept in a purse or pocket.
The measurements: height=0.5" diameter=2.25" approx.
