A vibrant and highly decorative mid-20th century Turkish ceramic wall plate, hand-crafted and hand-painted in the renowned pottery center of Kütahya, Turkey. Executed in the traditional Iznik style, this large decorative platter celebrates the rich artistic heritage of the Ottoman Empire with brilliantly detailed floral ornamentation and masterful polychrome glazing.
The composition features classic Ottoman motifs including tulips, carnations, and lily-of-the-valley forms rendered in vivid teal, cobalt blue, iron red, lavender, and emerald tones. The elegantly shaped piecrust rim enhances the sculptural presence of the piece, while the richly layered decoration reflects the enduring influence of 16th-century Iznik ceramics.
Handmade and individually painted by skilled artisans, the reverse bears a handwritten signature and workshop markings from the Sirca pottery atelier in Nevşehir, Cappadocia—an area internationally celebrated for its centuries-old ceramic traditions. A hanging wire is attached to the back, allowing for immediate wall display.
