This vintage 1960-1970s Eames-style lounge chair and ottoman features beautifully molded walnut veneer shells paired with updated ivory bouclé, shearling-style upholstery and sleek black metal bases. Inspired by the iconic mid-century modern design originally introduced in the 1950s, the sculptural silhouette remains one of the most comfortable and recognizable lounge forms ever created.
What I especially love about this example is the warmth of the walnut grain combined with the cozy textured upholstery. The curved profile looks fantastic from every angle, especially the dramatic floating back and sweeping seat lines. The chair swivels and reclines for exceptional comfort, making it ideal for reading, relaxing, or media room lounging while still maintaining that iconic mid-century sculptural look.
The matching ottoman completes the look beautifully and provides the perfect place to kick your feet up after a long day. Updated ivory upholstery is clean and fresh-looking overall - no rips, tears or stains and only light signs of wear. Some age/patina and finish wear is present to the very bottom feet/base caps. Chair swivels and reclines smoothly and is exceptionally comfortable. Matching ottoman is stationary and does not swivel. Overall an excellent vintage presentation. less
