This beautifully proportioned set blends classic American craftsmanship with Danish modern influence, offering both comfort and architectural presence. This swivel rocker chair features curved solid wood arms and a high tufted back, while the matching ottoman rests on a sculptural swivel-style base for a cohesive mid-century look.

Upholstered in its original textured blue-green woven plaid fabric with subtle green striping, the set has an unmistakable 1960s Nordic aesthetic. The matching ottoman mirrors the chair’s organic shape and tufted detailing, resting on a sleek star-style swivel base that adds both movement and visual lightness. The original textured upholstery complements the warm walnut tones beautifully.

Vintage condition consistent with age and use. Upholstery and wood frame show expected wear/patina from decades of use. Structurally solid and very comfortable.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition with attractive age-appropriate wear. Upholstery retains rich color and texture with minor vintage wear consistent with use. It could use a mild cleaning particularly the arm rests which are removable. See the two fabric worn spots on right arm. One snap loop on the back that that attaches to spindle could be resewn.
Wood shows light patina and finish wear on the armrests where you hands sit that enhance the character of the piece.

We Love-Love this piece! It has the matching ottoman, original upholstery in fantastic color, good visual presence, both have a swivel base, and the Haywood-Wakefield tag.
