"Monterey" armchair designed by Folke Ohlsson and produced by Bodafors in 1962. Oak frame and reupholstered cushions.
"Monterey" armchair designed by Folke Ohlsson and produced by Svenska Möbelfabrikerna Bodafors in 1962, as evidenced by the original branding on the frame. This product fully reflects the Scandinavian design language of the 1960s, characterized by clean lines, balanced proportions, and meticulous attention to quality materials. The frame is crafted from oak, crafted with soft profiles and meticulously crafted joints that showcase the craftsmanship of Swedish manufacturing. The slightly sloping armrests and the open design of the frame lend a sense of visual lightness, while the backrest with vertical elements contributes to both stability and the overall aesthetic. The seating system is supported by original Bodafors-branded elastic straps, visible on the underside. The seat and back cushions, with button detailing, have been reupholstered in neutral-colored fabric, maintaining their original volume.
