Hand-thrown studio pottery vessel signed by ceramic artist James E. Sanders. This sculptural stoneware piece features a warm sand-toned glaze with an incised repeating teardrop motif encircling the shoulder. The form has a strong mid-century modern and organic modern aesthetic with subtle tribal and brutalist influences typical of 1960s–1970s American studio ceramics.
Beautiful displayed alone or grouped with other artisan pottery and earthy modern décor.
Signed on underside.
