Stunning newly Reupholstered Loveseat on a vintage frame.
Dead sock heavy weight tapestry fabric with an East Indian tropical chintz design of traditionally dressed Elephants on a bright cherry red ground. This brocade design is a Neo British Colonial look popular in the late 80s/early 90s.
Custom & hand placed so the print is symmetrical and centered. The attention to detail on this piece is impeccable with a tailored dressmakers skirt.
This is a gorgeous statement piece and would look amazing in a number of environments and decor styles.
East Indian elephants, particularly in Rajasthan (Jaipur) and Kerala, are elaborately dressed for festivals, weddings, and ceremonial processions. These decorations are rooted in tradition, where elephants are adorned to represent prosperity, royalty, and divinity.
