The Spanish Colonial Revival was among the most significant design movements of the interwar period, bringing richly carved dark oak furniture with Iberian and Mission references into the American interior. This set is a well-preserved and properly attributed example. The desk features a carved oak frame with detailed floral decoration, turned baluster form legs, and a central kneehole — 47"L x 22.5" W x 30.25"H. The matching chair carries the same carved oak vocabulary with an upholstered seat — 17.5"W x 16.5"D x 33.5"H, 18" seat height.
