This vintage studio pottery vase, crafted by the renowned Otagiri Mercantile Company (OMC) of Japan, is a beautiful example of mid-century organic design. The vessel features a warm, honey-toned glaze adorned with an expressive, hand-painted leaf motif in deep iron-oxide brown and russet. This "Wabi-Sabi" aesthetic emphasizes the beauty of natural forms and artisanal imperfections, making it a soulful addition to any collection of global ceramics or modern interiors. Its earthy palette and traditional Japanese craftsmanship reflect a timeless elegance that complements both rustic and minimalist decor alike.
Measuring 5.25 inches in diameter and 6 inches in height, this stout, rounded vase is perfectly suited for a small floral arrangement or as a standalone decorative object on a curated mantle. The original gold foil "OMC Japan" sticker remains on the base, attesting to its authentic vintage provenance. The piece is in great vintage condition, showing minor scuffs and a small flea bite to the rim edge that adds to its authentic character and aged patina.
