I love traditional elegance, and this mahogany armchair crafted by Southwood in North Carolina is the epitome of high quality and fine living. The carvings on the arms and the front legs are sharp and complement the green silk brocade fabric beautifully. This chair is in remarkably good condition with the exception of two areas of wear to the fabric at the end of each arm (refer to pictures 10 and 11). The fabric on the back and the seat shows no signs of wear at all.
I photographed this armchair on a sunny afternoon in May, producing a warmth to the color of the wood and the silk fabric. It will invariably look different when viewed in an interior setting under artificial light. Please take this into consideration when matching colors.
