It is a numbered watercolor image from a book of Alpine mountain flowers. This book was published as a botanical study of mountain flora and its adaption to its habitat. It had limited circulation, thus making these botanicals rare to find. The watercolor plate was illustrated by Paul A. Roberts . The lithograph showcases the "clematis". Its purple flowers peep out from its dense foliage. This clematis variety is found in Europe and North Amerian mountain areas.This image is rich in vibrant color.
