It is a watercolor, numbered, and signed plate from a book of Alpine mountain flowers. This book was published as a botanical study of mountain flora and its adaption to its habitat. It had limited circulation, thus making these botanicals rare to find. The watercolor plate was illustrated by Paul A. Roberts (Signature is in lower right.) The lithograph showcases the "rhododendrun ferrygineum" sometimes known as the Alpine Rose. It has abundant clusters of pink-red bell shaped flowers and dense foliage. This image is rich in vibrant color. It has a rich depth of quality and interest. It is in pristine condition.
