Rare vintage desk by luxury furniture brand McGuire of San Francisco. This unique desk features a burlwood veneer top and an oak wood frame with rattan trim on 4 slightly splayed legs. There’s 4 side drawers with original solid brass faux bamboo handles, and a shallow center drawer with a pencil tray. All surfaces display a beautiful range of warm brown and honey toned color variations within the natural materials. The desk frame has been recently sanded down to remove its original rose pink finish. The interior of the drawers retain this original color for a whimsical touch to your everyday desk needs.
Marked by the Mcguire makers tag on the inside center drawer above the pencil tray.

The Burlwood veneer top does show some cracking most likely from age/sun exposure. You could replace this inset veneer piece, remedy with wood filler or use as-is. It’s such a style preference, I decided to leave it alone. It was hard to show the slight cracking in the direct sunlight pictures so I also photographed it in shade with blue arrows pointing to the cracks, shown in last photo. There are also a few corners of the oak veneer drawer fronts that have chipped off a little, I have pictured this circled in red. less
