Striking late 19th to early 20th century cylinder roll top desk by Loud & Brothers of Detroit, a firm historically associated with fine piano manufacturing. This architectural piece features a dramatic ebonized finish with gilt incised detailing, flanked by classical column supports with decorative capitals.
The upper cabinet showcases glass-paneled doors opening to display shelving, while the cylinder roll top reveals a beautifully fitted interior in figured wood with small drawers and compartments. The form is both sculptural and highly functional, embodying the elegance of parlor furniture from the period.
A rare and substantial statement piece, ideal for a study, library, or design-forward interior seeking a refined antique focal point.
