They are a fine example of the advanced wood-bending techniques that had been evolving since the 19th century—skills that manufacturers like thonet, köhn and tatra brought to a particularly high level.

the design bears some resemblance to thonet’s a 524 f model, though here the armrests are noticeably flatter, giving the chairs a more grounded and streamlined appearance. Both pieces are made from a striking combination of dark-stained beechwood and rich walnut veneer, creating a subtle contrast that enhances their sculptural form.
