This is an original 1902 botanical photograph lithograph from a French portfolio of 4 volumes of "Encyclopedie de la Plante", an “artistique” and “documentaire” collection of botanical prints, Beaux-Arts print collection. This Beaux-Arts collection was originally used for edification and research on plants from throughout the world. The botanical features the Arum Lily. The The arum lilly is an elegant trumpet shaped flower that is popular in bouquets. It is a showy ornamental plant with its tall floral spikes. Note the wonderul folds in the leaves, the arching of the white flowers and the interesting folds in the draping of the bottom background. The image has a wonderful quality. Done on light gray tone backgrounds with cream tone edges. Excellent, clean, pristine condition . 11.75 x 15.25 inches. See less
