A French faience whimsical pique-fleur bud vase in the form of a seated pig. Hand-painted with floral motif in typical colors of Desvres pottery in shades of blue, green, yellow, and red, on bluish white ground and decorated with the Bayeaux coat of arms. Nicely detailed with glass eyes and seven holes on top for flower stems. In good condition with minor glaze loss. The Bayeaux pig is a rare, white breed native to Normandy, France. Makers mark to underside. Circa 1910-1920
